The story of Oscar-winning director Giuseppe Tornatore’s feature debut “Il Camorrista” is a peculiar one. Shot in 1985, the film was expanded into a five-part series, starring Ben Gazzara as a notorious boss of the Neapolitan Camorra crime syndicate. However, the series was never aired. Now, after almost 40 years, “Il Camorrista” is making a triumphant return.
