Founded in 2002 under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Kinéo Award, conceived and directed by Rosetta Sannelli, celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. It is an award that combines the judgment of the public and of a prestigious jury of the industry. It has always been an official collateral event of the Venice International Film Festival.
The Kinéo Award is divided into several categories: Films, Artists, TV Series; Special Awards: Lifetime Achievement, Young Artist Award, the Martha De Laurentiis Award for Best Producer/Distributor. These include the Kinéo Green&Blue Award for environmental protection and the Kinéo&GCHR Award for Human and Social Rights in collaboration with the prestigious Global Campus of Human Rights.
