MOSCERINE FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTATION

The first film festival in Italy entirely dedicated to filmmakers under the age of 12, which has now successfully concluded its fifth edition.

The presentation will explore the festival’s mission and its growing impact in the field of audiovisual education and children’s creativity, highlighting the various activities and initiatives developed throughout the year.

Particular focus will be given to:

• the two competitive sections dedicated to short films created by young filmmakers under 12 and teenagers (the Focus Schools section and the Under12 section);
• the educational programs and image literacy workshops carried out in schools, designed to introduce children and young people to audiovisual language and film production;
• the Industry Days, created to encourage dialogue between institutions, professionals, educators and emerging talents around the future of audiovisual education for younger generations;
• the festival’s strong commitment to inclusion, accessibility and participation through activities open to children from different social, cultural and personal backgrounds.

The event will also present some of the special projects connected to the festival, including “Giovani Registi Crescono”, supported by SIAE and the Italian Ministry of Culture (MiC), aimed at fostering new generations of young storytellers and filmmakers through audiovisual production experiences.

Through screenings, presentations and discussions, the event intends to showcase Moscerine Film Festival as a unique cultural platform where cinema becomes a tool for education, creativity, social inclusion and active participation for younger generations.
