Ready to reach its eleventh edition in 2026, the RomAfrica Film Festival (RAFF) is a film festival showcasing African films. The three-day festival, July 16, 17, and 18, is free to attend, with two days at the Casa del Cinema in Villa Borghese and the opening night at the Egyptian Academy in Rome. The festival aims to explore Africa beyond the stereotypes, showcasing the cultural diversity and vitality this fascinating continent has to offer, ideally uniting Rome and its history with Africa, at a time when Italy, Africa, and the rest of the world are facing global challenges that require mutual understanding more than ever.
During the three-day festival, audiences will be offered a selection of African feature films, short films, and documentaries by both established and emerging filmmakers. Each event of the Festival is introduced by presentations featuring specially invited guests: cast, directors, producers, and experts.
