Villae Film Festival is a review of films. This review will take place in Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este in Tivoli, under the artistic direction of Andrea Bruciati, art historian and director of the “Institution of Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este”.
The event will take place from July the 4th until July the 10th in Villa Adriana and from July the 18th until july the 24th in Villa d’Este.
Both Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este have been declared “Unesco World Heritage” and in these wonderful locations we will screen films about the eternal theme of “beauty”.
In Villa Adriana we will screen films such as Atlantide by Yuri Ancarani, The man who sold his skin by Kaouther Ben Hania, but also classic films such as Death in Venice by Luchino Visconti.
In Villa d’Este, in the wonderful Garden at the end of Gran Viale, we will screen films such as Pino. Un film su Pino Pascali by Walter Fasano, The Arch by Alessandra Stefani and classic films such as Teorema by Pier Paolo Pasolini. We organize meetings about these films and these artists with art historians and art critics.
Villae Film Festival 2022 includes not only our film selection but also, for the first time, a Videoart Competition. Andrea Bruciati is the President of the Jury and, together with other jury members, will choose the winner among the videoart works in competition.
Villae Film Festival is an event organized by “Institution of Villa Adriana and Villa d’Este”, supported by Italian Cultural Ministry and Regione Lazio in collaboration with Cinecittà.
