FOCUS ASIA – UDINE

Antropica, Hive Division, K+, Movimento Film, Palosanto Films, Solaria Film are the six production companies selected to take part in the industry section of the Far East Film Festival, FOCUS ASIA, held in Udine from 28 to 30 April 2025.

Thanks to the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the support of Cinecittà, Italy will be represented for the first time among the 200+ professionals from Europe, Asia, Canada, and Latin America who will enliven the packed schedule of screenings, lectures, case studies, workshops, one-to-one meetings, and networking activities—all made possible through a strong network of international partners.

In collaboration with Cinema Chile, CCIDAHK (Hong Kong), FFA – German Federal Film Board, Netherlands Film Fund, Telefilm Canada, TAICCA (Taiwan), FDCP – Film Development Council of the Philippines, and VIPO – Visual Industry Promotion Organization (Japan), delegations of industry professionals will participate in exclusive tailor-made workshops designed to open doors to the Asian and European markets.

The team from Europa Distribution, Europe’s leading network of independent distributors, will return to Udine alongside over 15 European distributors, taking part in the third edition of the Distribution Lab.

At the same time, Europa International, the network of European sales agents, will join Focus Asia for the first time, marking the start of an exciting new partnership. As part of this collaboration, Focus Asia will host the first edition of the Sales Lab, an exclusive initiative offering direct market access and valuable insights into sales strategies tailored to Asia’s highly fragmented and dynamic industry.

The industry activities, open to all Focus Asia participants, will intertwine as always with the Ties That Bind – EAVE Asia-Europe Co-Production Workshop program. In this special 2025 edition, TTB will present two case studies on recent Europe-Asia co-productions, explore Asian remakes and IP management, and host a dedicated session on the use of Artificial Intelligence in the film industry.
