CARACAS
From 20 to 30 June, Caracas will host the first edition of ITALIAN SCREENS with the screening of 10 films in the Cines Paseo cinema halls, thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Caracas and Trasnocho Cultural.
This year’s selection bears witness of the diversity and richness of Italian contemporary filmmaking. The audience will have the chance to dive into engaging stories and explore a variety of genres, styles and narratives.
On the programme: ADAGIO by Stefano Sollima, LA CHIMERA by Alice Rohrwacher, C’È ANCORA DOMANI (THERE’S STILL TOMORROW) by Paola Cortellesi, DISCO BOY by Giacomo Abbruzzese, LUBO by Giorgio Dritti, RAPITO (KIDNAPPED) by Marco Bellocchio, IL SOL DELL’AVVENIRE (A BRIGHTER TOMORROW) by Nanni Moretti, LE VELE SCARLATTE (L’ENVOL) by Pietro Marcello, the documentary UMBERTO ECO – LA BIBLIOTECA DEL MONDO by Davide Ferrario, and the animated film MANODOPERA (NO DOGS OR ITALIANS ALLOWED) by Alain Ughetto.
The initiative is promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture, and organised by Cinecittà.
