From November 11th to 16th, ITALIAN SCREENS returns to Berlin in collaboration with the Italian Film Festival Berlin.
At the Kino in der Kulturbrauerei in Prenzlauer Berg, six days of premieres, meetings, and talks with the creators and stars of the best contemporary Italian cinema.
It all starts on Tuesday, November 11th (7:45 PM) with Alissa Jung, who will present her directorial debut Paternal Leave together with the young co-star Juli Grabenhenrich and Luca Marinelli.
On Wednesday, November 12th (7:45 PM), another debut film is featured: director Mimmo Verdesca will accompany the screening of Per il mio bene.
Thursday, November 13th features a double bill: Kung Fu in Rome by Gabriele Mainetti (5:15 PM), while the anticipated guest of the evening screening (7:45 PM) will be German actor Tom Wlaschiha. He will present Damned if You Do, Damned if You Don’t by Gianni Di Gregorio, a film in which he played one of the leading roles.
Friday, November 14th schedules two of the most important titles from the latest Italian film season.
At 5:15 PM, The Illusion by Roberto Andò, who once again directs Toni Servillo, Salvo Ficarra, and Valentino Picone (after La stranezza) in a film that reinterprets the Italian Risorgimento, blending history, drama, and comedy.
The evening closes (7:45 PM) with Geppi Cucciari, who will present Diamonds by Ferzan Ozpetek to the festival audience. This choral film, described as a “tribute to women in and of cinema,” has been one of the biggest box office successes in Italy in 2025, and Cucciari was one of its leading actresses.

The film program concludes on Saturday, November 15th.
It opens with Feeling Better, the second feature film by Valerio Mastandrea (3:30 PM), starring the director himself, Dolores Fonzi, Laura Morante, Lino Musella, Giorgio Montanini, and Barbara Ronchi.
The special closing screening (7:45 PM) is Familia by Francesco Costabile – the Italian film submitted for the 2026 Oscars – which will be presented to the audience by its female lead, Barbara Ronchi.

Among the new features of this edition is a new educational section involving primary and secondary schools in the German capital, which includes two screenings at the Kino in der Kulturbrauerei – Mary and the Midnight Spirit by Enzo d’Alò and All Because of Rock by Andrea Jublin.
