From November 6 to 16, 2025, ITALIAN SCREENS brings new Italian cinema to the 40th Mar del Plata International Film Festival, one of the most prestigious film events on the South American continent. A recognition of the creative vigor of current Italian cinema and the deep cultural ties between the two countries.

The program features a selection of works that showcase the vitality and vision of contemporary Italian cinema: Outside by Mario Martone; The Last One for the Road by Francesco Sossai; Manara by Valentina Zanella; Napoli/New York by Gabriele Salvatores; Feeling Better by Valerio Mastandrea; Paternal Leave by Alissa Jung; Heads or Tails? by Alessio Rigo de Righi and Matteo Zoppis.

Also in competition is La Gioia by Nicolangelo Gelormini, with the presence of the lead actor, Saul Nanni.

A new chapter in the international journey of Italian Screens, where Italian cinema meets the Argentine audience.

As part of the program, a conversation with Roberto Stabile, Head of the International Department of Cinecittà and creator of the ITALIAN SCREENS initiative, will be held on November 7 at the Costa Galana Hotel.

The Italian presence at the Festival strengthens a long-standing bond between the two countries and celebrates cinema as a shared territory of imagination and critical perspective.
