19 – 25 April 2026

ALBANIA | KOSOVO

Italian Screens returns with a new edition in Albania and Kosovo from April 19 to 25, 2026. The initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture (DGCA-MiC), coordinated by the International Department of Cinecittà, is organized together with the Italian Embassies in Albania and Kosovo, the General Consulate of Vlora, and the Italian Institute of Culture in Tirana, with the support of the cities of Tirana, Shkodra, and Vlora.

It presents a diverse selection of five films with different genres, styles, and settings: La Grazia by Paolo Sorrentino, The Last One for the Road by Francesco Sossai, A Year of School by Laura Samani, A Brief Affair by Ludovica Rampoldi, and Fuori by Mario Martone.

All screenings are free of charge, and the films will be shown in their original Italian version with English subtitles.

For the first time, the Italian Screens Industry Day will take place on April 20 in Tirana, at the Sky Tower Hotel (19th floor), a special event dedicated to fostering collaborations between the Italian and Albanian film industries.

The day will be divided into two main segments. The morning session will involve representatives from both Italy and Albania, aiming to open a structured dialogue on potential forms of cooperation: from co-productions and distribution to regulatory harmonization and the exchange of professional expertise.

In the afternoon, the B2B session will give some of the leading Italian production companies the opportunity to meet potential Albanian partners through targeted one-on-one meetings. This will be a concrete chance to explore new synergies, develop shared projects, and establish long-term industrial relationships.

The Industry Day is promoted by the International Department of Cinecittà, as part of activities coordinated for the DGCA-MIC, in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture in Tirana and the Albanian National Center of Cinematography.
