From 26 September to 11 October 2026, Italian Screens comes to Malaysia for the first time, bringing to Kuala Lumpur a selection of six contemporary Italian films.
Over three weekends, audiences will have the opportunity to explore, through a variety of genres and cinematic perspectives, stories that portray Italian society, family, human relationships and everyday life in contemporary Italy.
The festival is presented and curated by the Embassy of Italy in Kuala Lumpur, coordinated by the International Department of Cinecittà, and organised in collaboration with GSC International Screens. Screenings will take place at GSC Mid Valley.
From comedy to drama, and from family stories to tales of friendship and solidarity, the six films offer a rich and multifaceted portrait of contemporary Italian cinema, exploring emotion, humour and social realities:

- Diamonds — Diamanti — Ferzan Özpetek
- Siblings — La vita da grandi — Greta Scarano
- Naples to New York — Napoli-New York — Gabriele Salvatores
- Green Family — Benvenuti in campagna — Giambattista Avellino
- The Greater Good — Il bene comune — Rocco Papaleo
All films will be screened in Italian with English subtitles at GSC Mid Valley.
