MIFA-Annecy
On 12th June, MIFA-Annecy will host the Italian Pitching Session: Discover Your Story, Meet Your Match, organized by Cinecittà on behalf of the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Italian Ministry of Culture. This event underscores Italy’s dedication to fostering international partnerships in the film and television industry.
Six projects currently in development—seeking co-production partners, funding, and collaboration—will be presented. The lineup spans TV series, feature films, and stop-motion animation, offering innovation, artistry, and family-friendly storytelling to suit diverse tastes and markets.
SONG FOR EUROPE

An adaptation of the literary text by Paolo Rumiz, “Canto per Europa”, which tells the story of a young Syrian war refugee named Evropa, who clandestinely embarks aboard a centuries-old sailboat along with four modern Argonauts, who are sailing the Mediterranean Sea. As they get closer to the old continent, under the mirror of the constellations, the journey becomes a search for the lost soul of the West.

ON THE PENCIL TIP

On the pencil tip is an animated series that follows the adventures of Camilla, a lively five-year-old girl, and her grandfather, a talented cartoonist. Each day, after school, Camilla visits her grandfather’s studio, where together they enter a magical world brought to life by his drawings. Camilla and her grandfather experience fantastic adventures that blend creativity, learning, and emotional growth. The series celebrates the special bond between generations and addresses important themes such as respect, diversity, and environmental awareness, all through the power of imagination and drawing.

THE WAR OF FROGS AND MICE

In a devastated land, the two young mice Cosmo and Princess Crumbthief fight to save their world threatened by humans. They cross paths with the young frog Prince Puffycheeks and discover the power of friendship. Amidst an age-old tension existing between the mice and frogs, our heroes embark on a race against time to save their world, leading the animals toward a future of peace.

Totoshi is the best sushi boy around. He delivers, and he does it fast. Always. All astride a battered Vespa, battle-scarred from a thousand deliveries, he speeds through Tokyo-Napoli: he knows all the shortcuts, all the conveniently broken streetlights, and most importantly, he always gets his damn tip. When his long-time sensei, Mr Toriyama, perishes due to a mysterious accident, Totoshi has to investigate.

WILL MOOGLEY GHOST AGENCY

Will lives alone in a gothic apartment on the top floor of an old building. He is an orphan adopted by Uncle Alvin who since passed away. His uncle returns as a ghost to help Will to run the agency. Only kids can work in ghost agencies as they are more receptive than adults.
