Italy is also taking center stage in the Industry section of the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival with a rich program of events.
The initiative, designed to strengthen co-production relationships and attract investment, features a full schedule of B2B meetings and a special event of great interest dedicated to the system of incentives, tax credits, and opportunities for international collaboration.
On Sunday, September 7, a session of pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings is planned. This is a reserved opportunity for international producers to connect with some of the most dynamic and innovative realities in Italian cinema. The attending Italian producers will be:

On Monday, September 8, it will be time for Spotlight Italy. This special event is a unique opportunity to discover in detail the benefits and procedures for accessing Italy’s renowned incentive system. The meeting will provide a clear and in-depth overview of how the tax credit, local funds, and co-production funds can serve as a concrete driver for film and audiovisual projects that choose to work with Italy. In attendance will be Roberto Stabile (Head of International Department, Cinecittà/DGCA), Jacopo Chessa (President, Italian Film Commissions), and Cristina Giubbetti (Vice President, APE – Italian Production Service Companies Association).
The event is organized by the International Department of Cinecittà/DGCA and ITA, in partnership with Telefilm Canada, highlighting the strong bilateral collaboration between Italy and Canada in the audiovisual field.
