In the framework of the 30th edition of MedFilm Festival’s celebrations (Rome – November 7th-17th 2024), we are pleased to announce the 8th edition of MedMeetings, (Rome – Nov. 7th and Nov. 8th 2024).
MedMeetings is the innovative professional platform of MedFilm aimed at creating synergies and cooperation between Italian directors, producers, distributors and industry professionals from Euro Mediterranean and Middle Eastern countries. MedMeetings 2024 – Call for entries. The MedMeeting Call involves two professional initiatives: MedPitching and MedWIPs.
MedMeetings 2024 – Call for entries. The MedMeeting Call involves two professional initiatives: MedPitching and MedWIPs.
- MedPitching is a hub designed to promote and support co-production. Its aim is to connect international projects with Italian producers, to involve Italy as a potential co-production country. MedPitching is open to feature film projects from countries in the abovementioned geographic areas (Euro-Mediterranean region and Middle East). The winner of MedPitching will receive the MedPitching Award (1,000.00 €).
- MedWIPs – MedFilm Works in Progress, is a workshop open to fiction feature films and creative documentaries in post-production from Italy and the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern countries. An international jury confers the prizes of this section: the MedFilm OIM Prize (10,000.00 €) and the technical support to post production (3,500.00 €).
Submissions to MedMeetings will open on May 18th 2024.
The MedMeetings platform track all stages of the cinematic creation, including:
- Training with MedFilm Talents;
- Distribution with MedSales.
MedFilm Talents – A workshop for emerging talents of the Mediterranean region, and film school students, focusing on the development of new film projects.
MedSales – A presentation of the Italian companies active in international sales and distribution, with a special focus on their work with productions from the Euro Mediterranean region.
