Italian Screens is an initiative born out of the collaboration between Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), (MAECI), with the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture (DGCA-MiC) and organised by Cinecittà’s Cinecittàto promote the best of Italian cinema abroad, and tax incentives in favour of distribution and co-productions.
The aim of the project is to provide the Italian Cultural Institutes and the network of Diplomatic Branches and Consulates with recent audiovisual products of high cultural and/or commercial value, and to strengthen the distribution of Italian cinema abroad, increasing its presence in established markets and going into new emerging markets, with a view to rationalising resources and optimising costs.
