12 – 16 July 2024

PARIS

From July 12 to 16, 2024, the festival Dolcevita sur Seine returns, this time at the Arènes de Lutèce, leaving the banks of the Seine for the Olympic Games. Thanks to the support and collaboration of ITALIAN SCREENS, the initiative brings several European premieres of Italian films to Paris.

This year, the initiative celebrates the centenary of Marcello Mastroianni’s birth with a special tribute that includes the screening of “A Special Day” by Ettore Scola. Additionally, the Paris Cinema Club will host a retrospective of five iconic films by the actor, restored and ready to be rediscovered. The Arènes will be transformed into a center of cultural activities with film screenings, theatrical performances, live music, stage discussions, and a photographic exhibition titled “Hello, César!”, exploring cinematic history through thirty photographs from the National Film Archive of Rome.

“Dolcevita-sur-Seine” is an opportunity to discover new cinematic talents with the screening of previously unseen films in France and the “Ristretto” short film competition, which will feature the participation of students from La Fémis film school in Paris and the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (National Film School) in Rome.
