BFI London Film Festival

For the first time, the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Italian Ministry of Culture (DGCA-MiC), in collaboration with Cinecittà, the British Film Institute (BFI), and the Italian Cultural Institute of London, is hosting a day dedicated to discussions and business meetings focused on UK-Italy co-production. This event will take place during the 68th BFI London Film Festival in partnership with American Express (LFF) 2024.

On Friday, October 11, at the Italian Cultural Institute (39 Belgrave Square, London SW1X 8NX), attendees can expect a comprehensive presentation on Italy’s co-production landscape and tax incentives. There will also be a case study featuring the upcoming UK-Italy co-production BRIDES, presented by Nicky Bentham from Neon Films and moderated by Agnieszka Moody from the BFI. Additional presentations will cover the UK Global Screen Fund’s International Co-production funding by Attica Dakhil (Fund Manager, International Co-production, BFI) and the British Film Commission’s initiatives led by Samantha Perahia (Head of Production UK, British Film Commission).

Following these presentations, there will be opportunities for one-on-one meetings between selected Italian and UK companies.
