30 October – 1 November 2024
TIFFCOM TOKYO
There are also several Italian projects among those participating in the Gap-Financing Market at TIFFCOM in Tokyo, scheduled from October 30 to November 1, 2024, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho-Kan.
This is a key event for sponsors, producers, sales agents, distributors, financiers, broadcasters, and investors interested in projects with a high level of feasibility, and that have already secured at least 60% of the required budget. From 2020 to 2023, many have taken advantage of this event, with projects from established producers and emerging directors from 24 countries being completed and presented at film festivals and cinemas around the world.
Italy’s involvement, organized by Cinecittà for the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Ministry of Culture, aims to stimulate collaborations with Japan, also thanks to the co-production agreement which came into effect on August 9.
The five selected projects will be presented during a pitching event scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 at 4:00 PM in Seminar Room A-5F at TIFFCOM.
